Descripción de Digital filter:
Digital filter A digital filter in electronics is any filter processing digital signals with the purpose of separation or suppression of their certain frequencies. Nowadays digital filters are used almost in all spheres where signal processing is needed, i.e. in spectral analysis, image processing, video processing, voice and sound processing and many other applications. The advantages of digital filters compared to the analog ones are as follows: High accuracy, adjustment versatility, and compactness. The disadvantages of digital filters against the analog ones are: Difficulty to work with high-frequency signals; difficulty to work on a real time basis. What is needed to make processing accuracy and speed higher is not only a powerful processor but accessory, and probably expensive, hardware in the form of high-accuracy and high-speed DA and AD converters. Two types of digital filters are distinguished: Finite impulse response filter, which is one of digital filters types the specific feature of which is time limitation of its impulse response. Infinite impulse response filter, which is a digital filter one or more of outputs of which serve as inputs, thus forming a feedback line. Digital filters are a common and indispensable part of home electronics.
