D1760 Data Acquisition of Control Systems from LJ Create ( http://www.ljcreate.com ). This package is used to introduce students to the monitoring and recording of control system performance using a PC. It is designed to provide an extension to work carried out using our D1750 Transducers & Instrumentation trainer. When connected to a computer via USB, the virtual instrument allows a PC to act as test instruments including: ...two digital multimeters, ...a dual trace digital storage oscilloscope, ...a spectrum analyzer, ... a signal generator, ...a data logger and grapher. The package includes a comprehensive 150 page curriculum manual with: ...underpinning theory, ...practical exercises, ...continuous and end of topic assessment. The curriculum includes practical investigations for learners to perform on the D1750 trainer. There is an emphasis on using the virtual instrumentation unit and PC to collect experiment data and display the results. The data can be exported as a C.S.V. file for analysis in a spreadsheet.
