Its a matter of dedication. Although anime obviously originates from the eastern world, cosplaying is more than just outfitting, it is an essence of art and hobby. Asian colleges even teach courses over cosplaying, and professional models and photographers are involved. Thx Canarawr It's just that U.S. is a little behind in most cases for cosplaying because of that difference. Sorry for the long comment lol.
