This is our duo interpretation of the piece. If this song sounds familiar, it was used as the orchestral theme for the official soundtrack of "New Moon." The piano version was also on the soundtrack for an episode of CSI. It was in a scene in the lab-- where Grissom was at his desk, sitting and thinking in the dark office while trying to solve a difficult case. About the composer: Alexandre Michel Gérard Desplat (born 23 August 1961) is a French film composer. He has been nominated three times for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe for his score to the film The Painted Veil. Desplat has extensively composed for films, first in France and later in Hollywood, including scores and incidental music for some 100 films among which are Lapse of Memory and Family Express (both 1992), Regarde Les Hommes Tomber (1994), Les Péchés Mortels (1995), the César nominated Un Héros Très Discret (1996), Une Minute De Silence and Sweet Revenge (both 1998), Le Château Des Singes (1999), Home Sweet Home and Reines D'Un Jour (both 2001), the César nominated Sur Mes Lèvres (2002), Rire Et Châtiment (2003), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010), among others.
